Alabama’s main port is the Port of Mobile, which is overseen by the Alabama State Port Authority.  The Port has a total acreage of 4,000 acres and includes 41 berths.  The State of Alabama holds the second largest inland waterway in the United States.  There are seventeen major river systems that include an estimated 77,000 miles of river and stream channels.  Alabama leads the nation in navigable channels with 1,438 miles including sixteen lock-and-dam structures on six of its river systems.   The maps below shows waterways for the Port of Mobile located in Alabama.
