With a geography that ranges from mountains in the north to sugar-sand beaches in the south, anyone can find their place in Alabama.  The state offers a variety of activities for arts and entertainment, sports and recreation, and ample historic and heritage attractions.  Alabama has the second largest inland waterway in the United States which offers opportunities for boating, paddling, and fishing.  Alabama is one of the premier states in the nation for hunting both white-tailed deer and turkey.   It is home to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, one of the most popular golf destinations in the world.  Alabama also hosts professional, semi-professional, and college sports teams and is home to prominent motorsports facilities in Talladega (Talladega Superspeedway) and Birmingham (Barber Motorsports Park).  Alabama also has numerous educational opportunities with its numerous elementary, middle, junior and high schools, public colleges and universities, as well as other specialized schools.
